TCG · Artist request for proposals

Help shape the world of a new card game.

We’re developing a Brazilian jiu-jitsu trading card game and looking for an artist, art director or studio to help establish its visual identity and create a cohesive first release.

The assignment.

We expect approximately 150 cards in the first release. We’re looking for proposals covering some or all of the following:

  • Art direction: a visual language that works for both a playable game and a collectible product.
  • Branding and design for marketing materials.
  • Card artwork and a consistent system for a roughly 150-card set.
  • Card layout, typography and files prepared for print, if this is part of your practice.

We welcome individual artists and teams. Tell us which parts you can lead. The number of unique illustrations, card types, technical specifications and schedule will be discussed with shortlisted applicants. Your estimate can be a range with clear assumptions about revisions, deliverables and usage rights.

Please share existing work. We are not asking for unpaid sample art.
