Robert Stein is a Montreal entrepreneur and real estate developer. His work spans commercial property, large-scale development, technology products, education and sport. The common thread is straightforward: find overlooked value, bring the right people together and turn a complicated idea into something useful.
He is hands-on by nature—equally comfortable discussing financing, a difficult lease, product design or why a business model does not yet make sense. Ecopromise reflects that range: serious work, direct communication and enough humour to keep long meetings survivable.

A family history
More than 60 years of seeing possibility in buildings.
Robert’s work sits within a three-generation Stein family history in real estate. Beginning with Sam Stein in the 1960s, the family built, owned, converted and operated residential, commercial, industrial and hotel properties across Quebec and Florida.
This is a deliberately short selection—not an attempt to claim every building ever touched. It reflects the family’s recurring instinct for adaptive reuse, difficult sites and properties with a story.
